On
Saturday, July 11, 2009 Spartan Lodge 70 held a "Rusty Nail
Degree." The morning of fellowship and Masonic
education began at 8:00 a.m. with a buffet breakfast in the
dining hall, and the meeting in the Lodge Room started at 9:00
a.m. For those who have never attended a Rusty Nail
Degree, the purpose is educational: the hour long program is a
refresher course for Master Masons in some of the ritual, esoterica,
and protocol for a Lodge of Ancient Free Masons. We had
visiting brethren for this program from as far away as
Charleston, S.C. In the future, we hope to put on several
Rusty Nail Degrees throughout the year. Please keep an eye
out for announced dates here on the Spartan Lodge 70 web
site.
